Bernardo F. Sarmiento Jr., DDS, MSD, is a skilled endodontist leading the team at Sarmiento Microendodontics in Cypress, Texas. Dr. Sarmiento was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from Bell High School, he went to Guadalajara, Mexico, to attend dental school. He earned his degree in dentistry from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in 1998. After practicing general dentistry for 12 years, Dr. Sarmiento completed a 2-year postdoctoral program in the advanced education in general dentistry program at the University of Rochester-Eastman Institute For Oral Health in Rochester, New York, in 2012. After being recognized and highly recommended by his AEGD program director, Dr. Sarmiento was accepted into the graduate endodontics program. He earned his postdoctoral certificate in endodontics and Masters of Science in Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in 2015. During his specialty training at CWRU, Dr. Sarmiento was a two-time award recipient for having a top 10 research presentation during the American Association of Endodontists annual meeting competition. After his specialty training and becoming a licensed specialist, he moved with his wife and three children to The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Sarmiento is proficient in all areas of modern advanced endodontics, such as microscopic and microsurgical techniques. Dr. Sarmiento is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, and the Hispanic Dental Association. On a personal note, Dr. Sarmiento enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends.
